The Dasani Legacy: 3.5

Last Time: There were plenty of birthdays and hormones while Scot and Christy seriously tested my patience with their far-from-hidden feelings for each other, although they have managed to stay apart from each other - for now. In the end, all three children headed off to college, where we're going to pick up now. You can read it here.

Just like last generation, I've stuck Max, Don, and Melody on an empty lot with the plans to build up a liveable home with their measely scholarship money. I'm hoping that this will make it more interesting so that I can stick through college again, unlike the first generation. Anyway, this is all that they could afford. Pretty nice after leaving the Dasani mansion, huh? </sarcasm>

Here's the inside. I didn't even have enough money to buy more beds for the rest of them. Oh well, as soon as they start working on their grades they'll be able to afford more luxuries.

I had a tiny bit of money left and one of them (I can't remember which) needed a logic skill point, so I decided to buy them a telescope. As soon as I bought it Melody rushed over to it to spy on neighbors. I'm not sure that's such a good idea, seeing as few people like being spied on, but I have other things to pay attention to.

Like seeing who Don has his eye on. I'm already looking for spouses for them, mostly so that I don't have to play too much extra time to graduate them. This is Gina.
Gina: Um, can I talk to him or should I just return to my non-existence as a college Sim?
Melody: But I'm talking to him!
Melody, we're trying to find a wife for your brother. Run off to play with the telescope again or something.

Gina: I'm glad that your sister left us alone. I was afraid this date was going to be a bust.
Don: Yeah, this is a nice date, but why is your skirt cutting off your hand?
Gina: Oh, that? Don't worry about it - why don't we talk about you instead!
Don: Oh, why not?
True love, huh?

Maybe it is true love. Don has turned into a bit of a suave gentleman. Or Gina is really desperate to get into a legacy (although not quite sure why...)

Oops, I guess I forgot to get him his first kiss back when he was a teenager. Oh well, it helps with the true love streak.

Max is also on the lookout for his own special someone. He's moving a little fast, though, don't you think?

Hey, we aren't going to have the same problems as the last time we were in college (if you don't remember, which you probably don't since it was a long time ago, Luke stole his twin brother's girlfriend and I ended up having Luke and his girlfriend drop out of college to stop the fights)! Next girl, please...

Gina moved in soon afterward, which means money for the 'house' and a makeover for Gina!

I'm not sure I want to know what you're looking at, Gina. Although you should be looking at the woman sneaking behind you instead...

Oh well, carry on with your spying and ignore the clapping old gypsy woman behind you.

Their house got a bit of a makeover thanks to the money from the genie and good grades. Coming along fairly nicely...

Max is still looking for his happily-ever-after. This is Mary - looks like Max is on the prowl for redheads.

Here's the house with another little makeover, thanks to the small amount of cash that Mary brought in. Now everyone has someone but Melody. I think I may just wait until she finishes college to find someone for her because there just don't seem to be any cute guys in this college, or at least any that Melody likes.

And here's Mary with her makeover. She's just as gorgeous as Gina - you're starting to have some female competition, Melody...

Max works fast once he finds someone he likes...

Max maybe her boyfriend but Melody is Mary's shadow, apparently. This amused me much more than it should have.

Maybe we shouldn't wait so long to get you someone, Melody - you're a little obsessed with your brothers' own significant others.

Interesting topic to cover while playing chess...

Good to see that Melody is managing to keep busy without a boyfriend on her arm, although I'm not sure if hitting the showerhead with a wrench is a good way of fixing it or just getting out your frustrations.

Melody, your obsession with people in relationships is starting to get a little creepy...
Around this point, I was getting a bit tired of college, so I stopped taking as many pictures, including the pop-ups saying they all got A+ grades, since they're always the same. Try not to be too devestated that you won't see those until they graduate. </sarcasm>

Hey, look who it is! It's Tora Dasani!
If you don't remember Tora, I don't really blame you - it's been a while. She's one of the first generation Dasanis, the older sister of Sophia. Since I got bored of college in the first generation and Sophia dropped out, she left behind Tora, Tora's twin Priscilla, and Sophia's own twin brother Tayler. The other two boys of that generation, Colby and Drake Jr., had already dropped out because I couldn't stop them from fighting with their siblings and I knew they weren't going to be heir so I got rid of them. I haven't played the remaining Dasani college students since Sophia dropped out, so they've been stuck wandering through Sim State as their nephews and now great-niece and -nephew have gone through and completed college. Sort of a sad existence but maybe I'll finish playing them someday! (Maybe)

Sort of a strange family reunion, but whatever.

While I'm happy that he doesn't have the hots for his great-aunt, it's still creepy that he would have any chemistry with her, even if it's negative. But they're too far apart in their family tree to realize that they're related.
And yes, this is Max's relationship panel, and yes, he does have two bolts for his brother's girlfriend, who happens to be right next to her in his relationship panel, and yes that's the same amount of bolts as Max shares with Mary. But don't worry - Gina and Don are three-bolters, so I'm not going to let these brothers mess up their relationships like their uncles did.

Since some of these people never seem to have good aspirations and they'd often want to raise their creativity skill points but the drumset would be unavailable, I bought a guitar set to go along with it and the adorable three-bolters decided to jam together.

Later that night the girls took over and had a bit of a ladies night which was quite entertaining to watch.

Well, that's strange. Not sure if you can tell, but Melody is not holding that guitar - instead, it's hanging in the air all by itself while she dances. Well, at least they're about to graduate and can leave this wacky place.

Like I said, it was almost time and now our three little Dasanis are all grown up and graduated! I had them stick around for another day to wait for Gina to graduate, though - she was about a day behind them. Mary is over a semester behind the others so I'll just finish her off later.

And Don spent his first day as a college graduate talking to the school streaker for about an hour before realizing that he was naked. Good to know that diploma is definitely earned.

He did, however, have the smarts to finally pop the question to his girlfriend. Thus, we end our update and this generation with a proposal, which of course ended with her saying yes. Isn't it sweet?

Well, that's all for this update. I actually managed to get it done less than a month after the last one, for which I'm proud. Next time we'll be back at the main Dasani household, although there might be some changes - for example, I'm thinking about making them a new house already, although I'm not sure yet. Anyway, I'll try to have an update soon!.

Yes, Mary was pretty - Max is a lucky guy!

Though I'm glad that Tora made an appearance, I feel bad for her - I should probably have her graduate already, I think she's gone through college long enough. :D

I don't blame you, college can get really boring xD

I love how fierce Melody looks when she's dancing. And the sudden realisation that the streaker is nude amused me.

Melody certainly is a fierce dancer. And it was funny how Don was just talking to the streaker normally and randomly acts shocked that he's not wearing any clothes. :D

Both Mary and Gina cleaned up rather well, they are very pretty but then so is Melody.

A neat idea to start them with a small home and slowly build it up as they earned money through grades and others moving in. Hopefully that made going through Uni somewhat more bearable. It can be a bit tricky to get through all the skill grinding it requires.

I was highly amused with Don's delayed reaction to realizing he was talking with a guy who was nude. Apparently the conversation was highly interesting, enough that he overlooked the obvious. ;)

Yeah, they're all gorgeous. I think I may do some spare updates this time, if only to see the children...

Doing college like this does make it a little more manageable, at least for me. It gets a bit boring again at the end, since they tend to have plenty of money, but at least at the beginning it keeps my interest. I just can't deal with dorms, I'm not sure why.

Don is definitely special. ;p
